Pranksters made a fake website pretending Texas megachurch pastor Joel Osteen had abandoned his Christian faith.

ABC News reports the online hoax was equipped with phony news sites to spread the made-up story.

Each Sunday, Joel Osteen proclaims his faith in front of 45,000 people, plus millions watching at

home and online. So, imagine the reaction when people saw an official-looking website noting a “special announcement” from Osteen.

The phony message read, “I am leaving the Christian faith.”

“All is well,” Osteen told ABC News. “I still have my faith. Nothing has changed.”
