Jordin Sparks has never looked better. Debuting a brand new ‘do featuring seriously trendy bangs and putting her svelte new self on display (following a 50-pound weight loss), Sparks was all smiles in New York City Wednesday.
The 23-year-old singer attended a Words With Friends event when she surprised everyone with the new choppy, wavy cut. Everyone but her fans, that is — as Sparks posted a photo of her new cut to Instagram right before she headed out to the event. “New hair!!! What do you think?,” she captioned.
But a soft, wavy coif plus bangs wasn’t the only thing Sparks was showing off.
The bubbly musician put her amazing new physique on display in tight leggings, a bright orange top and a cropped leopard blazer.
The “American Idol” alumna told New York Daily News that a health scare in 2009 whipped her into shape and she is now making her health a priority.
“For me to be on stage singing and dancing, the stamina that I have now is better,” she said. “I don’t get sick as much anymore. I feel better, I have more energy, I sleep better, everything is better.”
