CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) –
Eight people are in custody after a large fight broke out at an east side elementary school.
It happened around 11 a.m. following a kindergarten graduation at Michael R. White Elementary School on East 92nd Street.
The preliminary investigation reveals that a fight broke out between two teenage girls during the graduation ceremony, and several adults then became involved. The fight took place outside of the school, either in the parking lot or street.
No Michael R. White students were involved in the fight.
No gunshots were fired, but police did recover a hammer on the scene. It was not used as a weapon during the fight.
The suspects will be charged with inciting a riot.
