CLEVELAND – Newly released jail logs continue to exhibit the monotony of kidnapping and rape suspect Ariel Castro’s life as an inmate.

The logs for May 28 and 29 contain one new development – Castro was moved to a different area of the jail, 10 South, Wednesday afternoon.

Cuyahoga County Communication Specialist John O’Brien said Castro’s relocation was a jail decision and not related to any incident.

Most of Castro’s days were spent on a mat in his cell. Wednesday morning, he started the day with a breakfast of oatmeal, fruit and a pint of milk.

Later that morning, he asked for a pen and when he could leave his cell before he began reading his inmate handbook.

The 52-year-old remains behind bars on $8 million bond on rape and kidnapping charges related to the three missing women found alive, Michelle Knight, Gina DeJesus and Amanda Berry, in his Seymour Avenue home.
