CLEVELAND – The man a Cuyahoga County judge sentenced to hold an idiot sign for threatening a police officer failed to make his court appearance. Now he’ll spend several months in prison.
Richard Dameron, 58, was arrested again this week for being a no show in court. On Wednesday, he appeared before Judge Pinkey Carr for a parole violation where he was sentenced to 90 days in jail.
Dameron is scheduled to appear in court again on Aug. 28 to pick up the idiot sign.
He will stand with the sign Sept. 2-6 from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. outside of Cleveland’s Second District Police headquarters on Fulton Road.
Dameron received the sentence for calling 911 and threatening to kill an officer.
