PEPPER PIKE, OH — The National Weather Service confirmed an EF1 tornado hit Pepper Pike overnight.
According to the NWS, the tornado hit around 3:35 a.m. and had speeds of around 112 mph.
The path of the tornado began just northwest of Ursuline College and continued across part of the campus.
The wicked weather left damage across the area.
In Mentor, officials warned of severe flooding from the storms overnight.
As of 10 a.m., the city said the water was receding and many roads that were once impassable have been reopened. Drivers are still being asked to use caution.

In Pepper Pike, the overnight storms also caused damage to Ursuline College. They posted on their website this morning that the college will be closed today and tomorrow due to a wall collapse in their gymnasium. The extent of the damage is unknown at this time.
In Mentor-on-The-Lake, the service department is out clearing storm sewer ditches and grates. If you experienced flooding in your basement from the heavy rains, the fire department may be able to assist you. Contact dispatch non-emergency if you have a concern at (440) 257-7234.
Over in Willoughby, the police department has closed the following roads due to flooding: SR 2 westbound at Lost Nation Road, SR 2 eastbound at Vine Street, Hamann Parkway, Beidler Road at Reading and Vine Street eastbound and westbound lanes.
In Grand River, a portion of Pickle Bill’s outdoor bar floated nearly one mile, ending up in Lake Erie. The business will still be open during normal hours today.
