CLEVELAND – Twelve people were arrested during what Cleveland police call a significant drug bust on the city’s east side.

Cleveland police said they executed five search warrants in the area of East 74th Street and Central Avenue starting at 4:40 p.m. Thursday. There was an additional warrant in Cleveland’s Glenville neighborhood.

Officers found heroin and cocaine following an investigation that police said lasted too long. Cleveland police were assisted by the SWAT team, which includes members of the FBI, Ohio State Highway Patrol, and the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Office.

Police said the suspects will likely appear in Cleveland Municipal Court on Saturday.
