CLEVELAND – The Cleveland mother who was accused of causing her 3-year-old son’s death and putting him in the trash was found guilty of aggravated murder Friday.

Terry, 21, of Cleveland, was convicted of one count of aggravated murder, three counts of murder, one count of felonious assault, two counts of endangering children, one count of tampering with evidence, one count of making false alarms and one count of gross abuse of a human corpse.

The jury deliberated for less than two hours, according to the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office.

Terry will be sentenced Dec. 19. She faces life in prison without the possibility of parole.

On Nov. 25, Terry reported her son missing from Kossuth Park, triggering a search that included federal investigators.

One day later, the little boy’s body was found at a waste processing site in Oakwood Village in a duffel bag. Terry was arrested and then charged with the crime.

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office has said Emilliano died from blunt force trauma to his head, torso, arms and legs.
