Several cities have opened warming centers to help residents deal with the worst of this numbing cold.

In the City of Cleveland, 20 city recreation centers will have extended hours Monday and Tuesday. The Director of Public Works announced that three of the city’s rec centers currently serving as warming centers will be open 24 hours beginning Monday, January 6 at 8 a.m. and lasting through Wednesday, January 8 at 8 a.m.

 

The recreation centers to be open 24 hours are:

 

  • Sterling Recreation Center located at 1380 East 32nd Street
  • Fairfax Recreation Center located at 2335 East 82nd Street
  • Michael Zone Recreation Center located at 6301 Lorain Avenue
