WESTLAKE, Ohio – The Kmart store on Detroit Road in Westlake is closing in late April because the lease on the building was not renewed. The store will begin its liquidation sale on February 9.
It currently has 57 employees and most are part time/hourly workers. According to company officials, associates that are eligible will receive severance and have the opportunity to apply for open positions at area Sears or Kmart stores.
