*Thanks to some world class editing, “NBC Nightly News” anchor Brian Williams and his backup Lester Holt delivered a killer version of the Sugarhill Gang’s “Rapper’s Delight” last night on “The Tonight Show”…with an assist from “Today’s” Kathie Lee Gifford.
Clips of Williams spliced together to make it seem like he’s rapping was a regular feature on Jimmy Fallon’s “Late Night” show before he took over “The Tonight Show” this week. Williams has previously “rapped” Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg’s “Nuthin’ But A G Thang,” Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch’s “Good Vibrations” and Warren G’s “Regulate.”
Last night, however, it was all about “Rapper’s Delight” — and yes, he “brought two friends along.”
