This weekend Nate Parker co-stars alongside Liam Neeson, Lupita Nyong’o and Julianne Moore in the new action thriller, “Non-Stop.”
“When I found out that I was going to be a part of this cast, I knew it was going to be something with real good work,” exclaimed Parker. “It made it easy for me to sign on.”
The Virginia native says working with “Hollywood It Girl,” Lupita Nyong’o was great because she’s everything you’d want in a co-star and a friend.
“My favorite times with Lupita were off screen, when we just hung out or ate lunch together, shared Parker. “She’s just a fantastic person, fantastic talent, she’s beautiful.”
‘Non-Stop’ takes place on a transatlantic flight from New York City to London. While 40,000 feet in the air, an U.S. air marshal (Neeson) receives a sequence of text messages threatening to kill passengers every 20 minutes, unless $150 million is transferred into an off-shore account.
EURweb caught up with the cast at the films world premiere and found out if they’re better prepared for in-flight disruptions and their in-flight rituals.
“I pray! Whether it be in a film, fake plane or real plane,” confessed Parker.
Global action star Nesson, tries to spot the air marshal.
“I spotted a guy flying out here,” declared Nesson. “He was on my right, just across the aisle. There was something about him and I said to him at the end of the flight, ‘are you an air marshal’ and he said, ‘yah’ and he gave me a little air marshal badge.”
Female lead Moore isn’t fond of maintenance concerns.
“When they say ‘we’re sorry, we’re having some mechanical failures,’ that’s when I get worried,” admitted the actress.
Boxing champion Floyd Mayweather also came out to celebrate the premiere and himself.
“Today is my birthday,” exclaimed the pound-for-pound king. “Plus, I’m really close friends with Joel Silver.”
