CLEVELAND – The Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating Agency, NOACA, has given an $88,000 grant to Transportation for Livable Communities Initiative for the continuing development of East 185th Street in Cleveland’s Collinwood neighborhood.

East 185th Street borders the cities of Cleveland and Euclid and has a long history of providing retail goods and services to the Collinwood-Euclid area.

The grant will be used to develop specific recommendations for pedestrian and bicycle friendly transportation improvements, land use and zoning, redevelopment and design guidelines for public and private improvements that will promote mixed-use and transit-oriented development along the corridor.

In a press release, Grace Gallucci, Executive Director of NOACA said, “TLCI program offers communities and their partners a terrific opportunity to plan for more transportation options. We are happy to make this program available and to play an important role in making communities more livable.”
