This week, hundreds of Nigerians took to the streets in the town of Chibok to demand government intervention in rescuing their daughters – more than 200 girls who where were abducted by a group of Islamic extremist weeks ago. In the days since, social media has been a driving force in drawing attention to the cause, spurring the hashtag #BringBackOurGirls. Many are wondering though where the action is from the international community and when the girls will be returned.

Thursday, Roland Martin and the “NewsOne Now” panel took on the story, one of few news shows to devote significant time to it. Watch what they had to say.

Be sure to listen to “NewsOne Now” with Roland Martin, weekdays at 7 a.m. EST and watch at 9 a.m. EST on TV One.
