Steve Ballmer takes over after previous owner Donald Sterling lost rights after he was caught making racist statements in an audio recording earlier this year.
(CNN) – The NBA has announced that ex-Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer is officially the new owner of the Los Angeles Clippers.
The league said a California court issued an order on Tuesday confirming the authority of Shelly Sterling to sell the team.
Shelly Sterling was the sole trustee after her husband, Donald, was found mentally incapacitated.
