AKRON, OH (WOIO) –

The Ohio Department of Public Safety’s Office of Criminal Justice Services (OCJS) awarded $307,806 in federal traffic safety funding to the Summit County Sheriff’s Office for 2015.

Authorities say the Sheriff’s Office will be conducting increased enforcement patrols and OVI checkpoints with the Summit County OVI Task Force, while working overtime hours and holding educational and awareness events with the grant funds.
