CLEVELAND – The City of Cleveland says a fire station with a possible bed bud infestation was not checked twice because of unpaid bills.

Cleveland Director of Public Safety Michael McGrath says the city called their contracted vendor to respond to Fire Station 40 located at located at 18930 St. Clair Ave. on Sept. 30 and on Oct. 6 .

But, according to McGrath, the vendor distinctly said he would not come to the station to check because he had not yet been paid for an August visit.
