AKRON, OH (WOIO) – Summit County Health officials and other public health agencies continue to monitor the Ebola virus.The Ohio Health Department meantime is tracing the steps of Amber Vinson, the second nurse diagnosed with Ebola. She flew from Cleveland to Dallas the day before she reported symptoms.
In addition to Dallas, Akron and Tallmadge are the epicenter of the Ebola scare. Tallmadge because that is where Amber spent a great deal of her time while in Ohio, and Akron because that is where health officials are dealing with the situation.
As a precaution eight people who had contact with Vinson are under voluntary quarantine: that includes five in Summit County, two in Cuyahoga County and her mother who is in Dallas.
