CLEVELAND — In a news conference Thursday, U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio), is calling for an FDA ban on powdered caffeine.
He stood alongside the parents of Logan Stiner at the YMCA location in downtown Cleveland.
In May, Stiner from an irregular heartbeat and seizures after ingesting the caffeine.

Kate Stiner, Logan’s mother, urged residents to sign the petition on the Logan Stiner Foundation’s website.
“Because we know if it can kill someone like Logan, it has no borders, and it will kill again,” Stiner said.
