Today (11-06-14) Michelle Williams stops by “The Real” to dish about her new show on Oxygen, “Fix My Choir.”

Speaking of which, Michelle puts her choir director skills to the test as she gets “The Real” choir in order.

Also, Michelle keeps it real and talks about how she joined the hit group Destiny’s Child and shares her thoughts on being compared to former members, Beyonce Knowles and Kelly Rowland.

On being compared to Beyonce and Kelly…

Tamera Mowry-Housley: Since all of Destiny’s Child are all solo artists, how do you handle being compared to Beyonce and Kelly?

Michelle Williams: I’m still so excited to have that association with two of the most fiercest ladies that are in my life. So I don’t mind the comparison, but my name is Tenitra Michelle Williams. We have different DNA and different blood so it would be whack if we were all the same. No one here on this panel is the same.

*Michelle Williams and Deitrick Haddon came together to help choirs get it together as mentors and hosts of Oxygen’s “Fix My Choir.”

But they ended up doing more than fixing choirs. Also, Williams and Haddon managed to change a few lives along the way.

The stars of the upcoming show set to premiere Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2014 at 10 p.m. ET. talked to Sister 2 Sister about their experiences on the show.

“I’m excited. It airs on the Oxygen network. It’s a really cool show. It’s myself and Deitrick Haddon serving as mentors to choirs who are pretty much already formed,” Williams said.”

She added, “it’s not a competition show or anything like that but it’s literally going into choirs who’ve asked for our help to fix certain issues they have going on. Now when I signed up I didn’t know I was gonna be the Iyanla Vanzant of choir.”

She concluded with, “one young lady is an awesome songwriter, so good Deitrick was like, “I’m gonna fund this song to be recorded.” The song is being recorded by a national recording artist. Then we got one choir who gets an A+ in singing but they crazy. Yeah, so dealing with a lot of internal issues and I just thought I was gonna coach performances and stuff like that, but I began to be able to put my life experiences and how I resolve them to great use.”
