After nearly three weeks and no credible leads into the whereabouts of 26-year-old Aaron Zimmerman, the family of the Lorain man said it’s easy to feel like giving up.

But, on Wednesday night, Seymour Survivor Michelle Knight showed up at a rally to tell them don’t.

“You want to be there for your son and you want to tell him that you love him,” Knight said. “You want to put your smiling faces on TV and let him know that you’re there for him.”

Zimmerman disappeared after leaving his parent’s home on Nov. 14.

His family said he had been diagnosed with schizophrenia and is without his medication. The family has handed out thousands of flyers and gone door-to-door in hopes of finding him.

Knight gave Zimmerman’s mother a ring that someone once gave her, an emotional moment for both women.
