The holiday, which was founded in the 1960’s, will conclude on New Year’s Day – January 1.

Christmas and Hanukkah may be over, but the holidays aren’t.

The 7-day holiday, Kwanzaa, begins Friday.

The African-American holiday is a celebration of family, community and culture.

Each day is dedicated to one of the principles representing African American culture: unity, self-determination, collective work and responsibility, economics, purpose, creativity and faith.
