Every once and a blue moon, Hollywood is opens its arms to its next child superstar. At the youthful age of 11, Quvenzhane Wallis is just that! The rising star has taken on the role of ‘Annie’ in the reboot of the 1982 Columbia Pictures classic.

Already nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress, the little girl from Louisiana has received high praises from her co-stars in the film. Jaime Foxx told EBONY, “I don’t think we could have done this movie unless Quvenzhané came along. It’s sort of like she’s tailor-made for the role in a sense. I would challenge you to find a girl who personifies ‘Annie’ better than Quvenzhané does.”

And the praises don’t stop there. Playing the role of ‘Nash’, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje stopped by the Urban Daily to talk to us about the film, and its leading lady.
