(BlackMediaScoop) It’s official folks, this marriage is over. Nick Cannon beat Mariah Carey to the courthouse. We’ve learned he has quietly filed for divorce.
The timing is interesting. We found out Nick filed papers December 12. The date is relevant because on December 3, Mariah showed up 3 hours late to tape a segment for the NBC tree-lighting special. Which she BOMBED, she couldn’t hit a note to save her damn life!
Mariah was on the phone with her lawyers going over the terms of her property settlement. That syncs up with Nick filing papers a week later, after they hashed out a deal.
Meanwhile, Mariah’s got big thangs poppin’! She confirmed she’s doing a Las Vegas residency at Caesars Palace.
“I’m going to do my first ever residency in Vegas at Caesars,” she said. “This is a special event for me!”
The show, dubbed “Mariah Carey #1s,” will launch May 6, and then run May 9, 10, 13, 16, 17, 20, 23 and 24, and July 8, 11, 12, 15, 18, 19, 22, 25, and 26.
