Tyler Perry has bestowed a huge title on Oprah Winfrey and Cicely Tyson. On Feb. 15, Perry and his longtime girlfriend Gelila Bekele christened their son, Aman Tyler Bekele-Perry with Oprah, Cicely and friend Oliver Ripley serving as godparents. Perry shared the information on Facebook with pictures of the event and revealed a touching tribute he gave to his late mother, Maxine. Perry revealed he had a church built in the backyard of his Beverly Hills home, created exactly like the one his mother grew up in. Perry stated:
I had this church built in my backyard. It’s almost a direct replica of the one my Mother grew up in. It was in her honor. I know she was with us in spirit.

What a sweet gesture. Along with Oprah and Cicely being on hand for the event, Jennifer Hudson, Yolanda Adams, Bill Withers and his daughter Kori, Vashawn Mitchell and Pastor Smokie Norful who performed the ceremony. Later on in the day, Oprah shared the news on Instagram with the caption:
