*Former “Scandal” star Columbus Short is among a trio of celebrities that will give viewers something to be scared about with the next installment of TV One’s horror anthology “Fear Files.”

Short, along with Robin Givens (“Head of the Class”) and Lynn Whitfield (“How to Get Away with Murder”), will headline three new tales in the series, which was formerly known as “Friday Night Files”). According to a press release, the new “Fear Files” trilogy picks up where the first airing left off by revisiting ‘For The Love of Lockwood’ with its sequel ‘For The Love Of Lockwood Too,’ and introducing two new stories, ‘Mama’s Boy’ and ‘Fire.’

Featuring Whitfield, Nadine Ellis (“Let’s Stay Together”), Sean Blakemore (“General Hospital”) and Eva Marcille (“The Young and the Restless”), “For The Love of Lockwood Too” brings back Lockwood Masters (Blakemore), who has another victim in his sights, the beautiful Bianca Wayne (Ellis).

For “Mama’s Boy,” Givens stars as Elaine Channing (Givens), a loving mother who harbors a terrifying secret that involves death for all the men she becomes involved with. Desperately, Elaine fears her son is murdering her lovers. The release notes a bizarre twist, in which Elaine must decide how far she will go to protect her son.

In addition to Givens, “Mama’s Boy” stars Clifton Powell (“Ray”), Mishon Ratliff (“Lincoln Heights”) and Malachi Malik.

The final film in the trilogy, “Fire” includes Short as Harvey Jordan, a city councilman who unveils a plan to build a football stadium in a low-income neighborhood. After a lethal fire removes the last resident blocking his project, many begin to question if the resident’s de
