CLEVELAND – Cuyahoga County Judge Brendan Sheehan issued a temporary restraining order, closing the Club Fly High on Superior Avenue in Cleveland.

The club is now boarded up at the request of Cleveland Councilman T.J., Dow who has been trying to close the bar for the past two years.

The restraining order was issued just five weeks after 30-year-old William Burton Jr., was found shot to death in the bathroom of the club, located in the 7100 block of Superior Ave. near East 70th Street.

According to emergency officials, Burton was shot in the chest multiple times. He was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center where police say he later died.

Dow wants the facility’s liquor license revoked. The State Liquor Board reported that three renewal objections had been filed against the club, but they were all denied.
