Prince’s Jr. High School Basketball Photo Is Beyond Epic

Anyone who’s watched Chappelle’s Show knows that Prince is a basketball genie, but now we have further proof that The Artist has always been a b-ball wiz.

The Star Tribune found images of Prince in his Byrant Junior High uniform. The photograph shows Prince sporting number 3 and rocking a pretty phenomenal afro.

And his basketball coach actually gave him props for his work, even though he said Prince was not a starter.

“Prince was an excellent player,” Richard Robinson, his high school coach at Central High, said. “He was like the sixth or seventh man. He was an excellent ball handler, a good shooter and very short.”

Prince apparently didn’t like being on the bench. “He was unhappy and he expressed that many, many times,” the coach said.

Here’s a look at Prince as a baller. Like there was ever any doubt.
