AYER, Mass. – Former Cuyahoga County Auditor Frank Russo may be in failing health and has been moved to a specialized health treatment center in Massachusetts.
Russo was serving 22 years on bribery charges at a federal prison in Loretto, Pennysylania following a massive federal probe that concluded three years ago.
newsnet5.com has learned Russo was moved to the Devens Federal Medical Center, 40 miles west of Boston, that specializes in heart problems, emphysema and pneumonia.
It’s not clear why Russo was moved, but during his corruption trial, Russo told a federal judge that he takes 20 different prescription medications and suffers from both diabetes and lupus—an immune disorder.
