BLACKSBURG, Va.— Quarterback Cardale Jones lead the defending national champion Ohio State Buckeyes to a 42-24 win over Virginia Tech Monday night.
Leading up to the season opener, Buckeyes coach Urban Meyer did not reveal if Jones or J.T. Barrett would land the starting QB job.
Jones hit Curtis Samuel for a touchdown, then Ezekiel Elliot ran 80 yards for another score, but Ohio State trailed 17-14 at halftime.
