CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) –

Cleveland police are investigating shots fired at the grandparent’s home of 3-year-old Major Howard.

Major was sitting in a car with his godmother and a family friend when he was shot on East 113th on Sept. 15.

He later died at MetroHealth Medical Center.

Monday afternoon, his grandfather called police around 2 p.m. and said suspects in a blue van fired shots at his home on East. 131st Street. Shell casings were found at the home. Police are stepping up security around the home.

Last week, one of the suspects in the death of the toddler pleaded not guilty in court. Bond was set at $1.5M.

Aaron Dunnings, 23, was arrested Tuesday, Jan. 12,  by the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force in connection to the toddler’s death.

He was arrested in the 700 block of East 90th Street in Cleveland.

Dunnings has a criminal history dating back to 2010 for trafficking and 2012 for carrying a concealed weapon and drug possession.

Police are still looking for a second suspect, Donnell Lindsey.

An arrest warrant was issued for Lindsey, a.k.a. Lionel, Lonell, or Nell.
