Arctic air is here, and Northeast Ohio’s first long-lasting lake effect event of the winter is, too.
Snow bands will move across the area through Tuesday, and some spots in the snow belt could see at least 12 inches of snow.
Some cities have issued snow parking bans and emergencies due to the severe weather.

— Erie County has a Level 1 Winter Road Condition Advisory until further notice.
— Portage County: Center of Hope, 1081 W. Main St., Ravenna, and Kent Social Services, 1066 S. Water St., Kent, will open as warming centers starting at 8 p.m. Monday and at 4 p.m. Tuesday. There is no charge, and visitors leave the next morning by 8 a.m.
— Elyria: A basic shelter will be open at First United Presbyterian Church in Elyria Tuesday through Saturday from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
