CHAGRIN FALLS, Ohio– Two people are dead following a shooting at a retirement community in Chagrin Falls, Mayor William Tomko said.

It happened at about 8:30 a.m. at an independent living building in Hamlet Village on Hamlet Hills Drive.

Chagrin Falls police said all three people involved were employees of Hamlet Village. Two females, Terri Treadway, 58, of Chardon and Catherine Sutter, 58, of Burton were killed.  The women were housekeepers at the facility. The suspect was a chef at Hamlet Village.

His identity has not been released.  He is being treated at an area hospital for his injuries.

Police do not know the relationship between the victims.

Hamlet Village including independent living apartments and single family homes. There is public access to the area, and no pass codes or keys are required to get into the affected building.
