CLEVELAND, Ohio — Here we go again: It’s Indians Opening Day take 2.
Due to the weather, the Indians postponed Monday’s opener and rescheduled it for this afternoon at 1:10 p.m. Gates will open at 11 a.m.
On Tuesday morning, Curtis Danburg, senior director of communications with the Indians, told FOX 8’s Jessica Dill that after looking at the scenarios of precipitation and cold weather combined, along with player safety, it didn’t make sense to play on Monday afternoon.
Thousands of fans were left in the cold and disappointed after the game was postponed shortly before it was set to begin.
