CLEVELAND, Ohio — Another Cleveland hotel property is fully booked for this summer’s Republican National Convention, and it hasn’t even officially opened its doors to the public.

The brand new Holiday Inn features what you would expect to find in a higher-end hotel; it’s modern, contemporary and state-of-the-art.

FOX 8 cameras were rolling Tuesday as workers were putting the final touches on the property on Euclid Avenue, which features a high ceiling lobby, restaurant bar and lounge, outdoor patio with fire pits, and indoor pool; that’s just to name a few features.

Craig Campbell, director of sales and marketing said, “We wanted to create a very open, friendly, comfortable warm hotel, and also a very affordable-priced hotel.”

The 9-story, 276-room Holiday Inn was built on what is considered to be historic property.

Once the Church of the Transfiguration, the Cleveland Clinic purchased the property for $1 million, then built the hotel from the ground up.
