Ariel Castro Arraigned On Kidnapping And Rape Charges

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) –

A 14-year-old boy was shot at E. 140th & Kinsman around 10 p.m. Monday. Witnesses said the shooter was riding in a silver Ford Focus with heavy front-end damage. The teen said he was standing in front of the Cleveland Public Library with friends when a small SUV pulled up.

A gunman exited the vehicle and fired four shots at him and his friends, the teen said.

Victim said he ran to 3250 E. 140th Street after he got shot to get help.

The SUV sped off.

The teen was transported to the hospital with a gun shot wound to his right leg. His condition is not known.

Cleveland city councilman, Zack Reed witnessed the shooting and followed the shooter.

“After I couldn’t catch up to the vehicle, I called 911 immediately,” Reed said.
