John Legend has some clear instructions for haters criticizing his wife, Chrissy Teigen.
Last month, Teigen and Legend went out on a date night to The Nice Guy in West Hollywood, California. But their date night left some people upset that they’d gone out to enjoy themselves with a two-week-old baby back home.
Teigen tweeted out, “I went to dinner. People are pissed. Good morning!”

When Legend noticed that most of the criticism was still aimed at new mom Chrissy, and not at him, he took to Twitter to call out the double standard.
“Funny there’s no dad-shaming. When both of us go out to dinner, shame both of us so Chrissy doesn’t have to take it all. We’ll split it,” he tweeted out on Tuesday.

The fan reaction was immediate and positive, with messages like, “That’s why you’re the realest! Standing up for your wife, true love,” “Please marry me too,” and “relationship goals yet again.”
