General Mills Quarterly Profits Jump 51 Percent

(RNN) – General Mills hopes to capitalize on a trend that drove consumers crazy with delight last year.

The company is weeks away – possibly sooner – from rolling out pumpkin spice-flavored Cheerios. The head of General Mills’ cereal division, Jim Murphy, confirmed in April they would release the specialty flavor of the iconic cereal around Labor Day.

But entertainment and culture site Popsugar, which claimed to have gotten its hands on the first box, reported the cereal could hit shelves sometime in August.
