CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) –

Some NE Ohioans are helping out in Louisiana.

A group of eight volunteers from the Cleveland area and two emergency response vehicles are heading to the state to help the thousands affected by the disastrous flooding there.

It’s said to the worst since Superstorm Sandy.

40K homes damaged by Louisiana floods; 10 killed

The Cleveland area volunteers are among the more than 500 from all over the country on their way to help according to the Red Cross.
