CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) –

Celebrate downtown Cleveland with two big sporting events and musical performances Thursday evening.

The city is excited to welcome all dedicated fans to the downtown area tonight.

The Cleveland Browns Preseason Home Opener against the Atlanta Falcons kicks off at 8 p.m. Less than an hour before that, the Indians face off against the Chicago White Sox at 7:10 p.m. all while the Paul McCartney concert at Quicken Loans Arena gets underway at 8:00 p.m.

The combination of downtown Cleveland residents, visitors, and working professionals in the same area is expected to a busy time; therefore, the city and other downtown area partners would like to provide the following tips to make the experience memorable and enjoyable. Expect traffic to be heavy in the downtown area and parking will be at a premium.

Downtown is ready to host this influx of weekday visitors after a summer of activity, including the Republican National Convention and the Cavs Championship parade.

If you need directions while walking or biking to any Downtown Destination, keep an eye out for DCA’s Ambassadors. The men and women in yellow shirts will be happy to give you directions, lend a hand or walk you to your destination. Ambassadors are also available to assist with lock-outs or flat ties, call the DCA operations center at 216-621-6000.
