A verdict has been reached in the Derrick Rose rape trial. Following less than four hours of deliberations on Wednesday, a jury in the case cleared Rose and his two codefendants of all charges.

According to reporters who were gathered at the federal courthouse in downtown Los Angeles for the reading of the jury’s verdict, Rose showed very little emotion after he was cleared:

Rose released a statement to the Associated Press following the reading of the verdict and thanked the jury:

“I am thankful that the jury understood and agreed with me,” the statement said. “This experience and my sensitivity to it was deep. I am ready to put this behind me and focus on my family and career.”
