CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) –
Tom Hanks proclaimed to the world that he was a Tribe fan after he hosted “Saturday Night Live” last week, and last night on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” he talked about his Indians love even more.
“The entire world and three-legged dogs and orphan children are all rooting for the Chicago Cubs, I realize that,” Hanks said. But the actor, who spent three years worked at the Great Lakes Shakespeare Festival in Cleveland, during which time he attended many Tribe games, says that he is, unequivocally, on their side.
“I’m rooting for the Cleveland Indians to win the World Series,” he said.
Hanks said there is only one outcome that he would be okay with other than the Tribe winning the series: bottom of the ninth, score is tied and, by God, unable to decide between two deserving teams, just decides to bring on the apocalypse.
