CLEVELAND– Early voting in Cuyahoga County is down from the last presidential election, officials said on Monday.
Board of Elections Director Pat McDonald said about 38,000 people cast ballots in person ahead of Election Day this year. That number is down from 2012.
McDonald said he expects 595,000 people will cast their ballots in Cuyahoga County, meaning a 67 percent voter turnout. Of that number, 40 percent will have voted early.
Tuesday, Nov. 8 is Election Day. Polling places in Cuyahoga County are open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. McDonald reminded residents to bring a valid ID to vote.
