CLEVELAND, Ohio– On Wednesday night’s all new “Empire,” a star was born.
The girl playing a young Cookie in the flashback episode is 9-year-old London Arrington, a fourth grader at Ss. Robert and William Catholic School in Euclid.
“It’s magical, unbelievable. I can’t believe it’s actually here,” said London.
London’s agent got a call in early September.
“It was awesome because I know she watched the show. When I told her, she was like, ‘mommy are you kidding me?'” said April Burt, mother.
But the news got even better.
London was cast as a young Cookie and shooting was to start immediately in Chicago.
“I get a call back. They want her to come tomorrow. I was like, ‘what? let’s go!'” said Leonard Arrington, father.
“I felt like I was going to have a heart attack. Because I was just so happy. And it was my first time on a real show,” said London.
London spent over 14 hours on set.
“It felt like I was really on a movie scene, felt like a main character; I felt like a star,” said London.
