The names have been released from the deadly house fire in Akron this past Saturday.
- Omar M. Riley 36-year-old man
- Shirley Wallis, 33-year-old woman
- Aniyla Riley, 9-year-old girl
- Shanice Riley, 8-year-old girl
Grief counselors will be on hand at three Akron public schools Monday after a deadly house fire.
Two girls, 8 and 9 years old were killed along with their mom and dad in a house fire early Saturday at 266 Tallmadge Avenue.
The 8-year-old was a third-grader at Seiberling Elementary and her 9-year-old sister was a fourth-grader at Forest Hill Elementary. They were part of the LeBron James Family Foundation.
Their 12-year-old sister Shaniya Simpson is in the hospital. She suffered a burn on her leg and smoke inhalation. She attends Hyre Middle School.
A memorial of balloons, flowers and stuffed animals rests on the front steps of the gutted home.
A prayer vigil was held Sunday night at the family’s church.
