The Cleveland City Council was scheduled to hold their final vote on plans to approve The Q on Monday, but the Council said the vote was put on hold.

The renovations were recently approved by the Council’s finance committee, but the proposal would still need to pass a final vote from the Council for immediate passage.

According to Councilman Zach Reed, the legislation was pulled from Monday’s agenda. There is no word on when the final vote will be acted on.

The renovations are expected to cost approximately $140 million, but the project has drawn some controversy because opponents think the money should be spent elsewhere in the city. The project would be jointly funded by the Cleveland Cavaliers, Cuyahoga County, and Cleveland.
