A game-changer has come to Akron.

Uber’s food delivery service “UberEATS” officially launched in the city today, as well as the surrounding suburbs of Cuyahoga Falls, Fairlawn, Portage Lakes, and the northern part of Green.

UberEATS is a twist on the company’s already well-known car service, allowing customers to order food from normally sit-down restaurants and have it delivered right to them by Uber drivers.

“The UberEATS app allows users to order food delivery whenever they get a craving, with menus available from over 30 restaurant locations in Akron,” Berry Kennedy, General Manager for UberEATS Ohio, said in a statement. “We’re thrilled to launch today in Akron to connect local residents and visitors with new, tasty options, add new earning opportunities for driver-partners and help local restaurant owners expand the reach of their business.”
