Omarosa Manigault is out of the White House, and now, she’s telling her story.

The former Trump administration aide gave another interview with ABC’s Nightline on Thursday night after her stormy exit from the White House, and in that interview, she defended Donald Trump against accusations that he is a racist.

–Bye Omarosa–and close the door behind you!–

‘Racial’ not ‘Racist’

Omarosa insisted to host Deborah Roberts that Trump may say racially-charged things, but that doesn’t make him racist.

“Donald Trump is racial, but he is not a racist,” she said.

“The things that he says, the types of pushback that he gives, involve people of color. These are racial exchanges,” she added. “Yes, I will acknowledge many of the exchanges — particularly in the last six months — have been racially charged. Do we then just stop and label him as a racist? No.”

This is her defense of the man who said there were good people on “both sides” of the protests in Charlottesville, Virginia, where a white nationalist drove a car into a group of protesters.

Then again, Omarosa seems to be maintaining a good relationship with the president. Despite reports that her exit was ugly and filled with vulgarity, Trump took to Twitter with nothing but well wishes for her.

“Thank you Omarosa for your service! I wish you continued success,” Trump tweeted on Wednesday after her exit.
