- Meet Patrol Officer Kelly Smith Kelly has been with the Cleveland Division of Police for the past 7 years and is currently detailed to the Police Academy. She loves the opportunity to help people every single day that she comes to work. Busy mother of 3, Kelly is very busy with her family but enjoys reading and physical fitness. So getting in a run, lifting weights and a gym workout is a past time passion. Patrol Officer Smith’s most memorable moment on the job was the night the girls, Michelle Knight, Gina DeJesus and Amanda Berry were found alive. She was assigned to Metro Hospital to stay with Michelle overnight. Kelly reports that Michelle’s tenacity and zest for life despite everything she went thru was something that she will carry with her forever. Truly life changing experience on the job.
