CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) –
The Cleveland Indians announced the team is trading for pitcher Brad Hand and pitcher Adam Cimber from the San Diego Padres.
The Indians will send catcher Francisco Mejia to the Padres.
This move helps the Indians bullpen, Cleveland ranks 29th in the league at relief pitching.
MLB on Fox reporter Ken Rosenthal broke the news first.
Hand currently has an earned run average of 3.05, he had an ERA below 3 in the previous two seasons.
